I’m Elisabetta Riccio, an award-winning photographer working between documentary storytelling, editorial imagery, and destination weddings worldwide.
My journey began far from weddings—shaped by years of travelling alone since I was twenty, living between New York and Miami, and working on documentary, social, and personal projects across the United States and Latin America.
Before entering the wedding world, my path led through documentary storytelling, artist residencies, exhibitions, and long-term visual projects exploring people, communities, and culture.
With a degree in Architecture, followed by a degree in Photography from the European Institute of Design in Turin, and a Master’s in Visual Storytelling from ICP New York, my visual language was shaped through structure, light, and human connection.
My work has been published in international magazines and exhibited in art galleries and institutions across New York, Miami, Berlin, and Italy.
My work blends documentary honesty with an editorial sensibility, balancing spontaneity and composition, emotion and aesthetics.

MY JOURNEY
I fell in love with photography at the age of ten, holding a small film camera and impatiently waiting for rolls of film to be developed.
That feeling never disappeared.
What began as childhood curiosity became a lifelong passion, then a profession, and eventually a way of understanding people, places, and the world around me.
Over the years, photography has taken me across more than twenty countries, introducing me to different cultures, stories, and ways of seeing. Even today, I remain fascinated by photography in all its forms, collecting vintage cameras during my travels and constantly exploring new ways of seeing and telling stories.
Ten years ago, I founded Ellie Ro Studio to offer couples a thoughtful and highly personalised experience.
Today, together with my trusted team of photographers, editors, and content creators, we craft visual narratives that feel honest, refined, and deeply personal.
